Team Chivalry

I was a member of Team Chivalry from June 2008 to May 2010, working on both Age of Chivalry and Chivalry as a designer, and Lead Programmer.

Age of Chivalry saw its first Steam release in late 2008, of which I was a part. Since 2008, my responsibilities on the project included:

  • Managing a team of up to 4 programmers
  • Implementation of MantisBT for bug tracking purposes
  • Implementation of a full Achievements & Stats system through Steamworks (visit an example stats profile here)
  • Working in conjunction with an artist to implement new User Interface and HUD designs
  • Development of a complete Objective & Scoring system
  • Creation of particle effects using Source’s particle editor
  • Audio system programming for more dynamic in-game effects
  • Combat system & core gameplay mechanic development & balancing

Chivalry: Battle for Agatha was announced in mid-2010. Built on UDK, it is a sequel to Age of Chivalry. Development on Chivalry started in early 2010. Before parting ways with the team, my responsibilities included:

  • Core combat mechanics
  • Core animation setup
  • Basic Player class structure
